Public lands and water close to home, and across the country, are at risk.

Water is life. The Big Wind River has long supported tribal communities, fish and wildlife, plants, traditional foods and materials, and places of cultural connection. Today, the river faces serious challenges, along with an opportunity to work together toward renewal.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture wants to eliminate the 25-year-old Roadless Area Conservation Rule—one of America’s most successful and broadly supported conservation measures. This rollback threatens nearly 10 million acres of wild, undeveloped national forest lands in Montana and Wyoming along with millions more across the country. While the rollback of the Roadless Rule does not impact the designated Roadless Area on the reservation, roadless areas across the West are public lands in which we hold treaty rights. These rights will be undermined with this ruling. Make yourvoice heard at this meeting by writing a public comment.
