“Grassroots to Governance”

Providing a Future for the Coming Generations

Saturday, May 31 | 8 am - 5 PM

Great Plains Hall | 11 Great Plains Rd, Arapahoe

Breakfast & Lunch Provided

The Wind River Indian Reservation (WRIR) is very unique with two Tribes, one Reservation, and no constitution. What does this mean to the sovereign authority and governance of the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho? The WRIR is blessed with water, land, timber, energy, mineral resources, fisheries, wildlife, lakes, rivers, and streams. How does our governance and the working relationship between the two Tribes function to take advantage of JOINT resources and make the good decisions required to strengthen families and communities?

If you’re interested in finding out the answers to these questions and many more, please join us for a fun and fact-filled day of information and food on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Great Plains Hall to understand Wind River sovereignty.

Hosted by Native Organizers Alliance and the Greater Yellowstone Coalition. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please RSVP so we can get a headcount for food!
